Talking about Learning

by

As most of you know, we talk alot about parenting issues and teaching our children.  What I want to discuss is learning…for adults. What do you think I have in mind?

I have a B.S. in Education, a Masters in Counseling and I have no desire what so ever to teach in the public schools again.  I’ve tried it numerous times, leaving it after a year or so and then returning, then leaving again for a few years and returning back to the classroom.  Finally after 5.5 stints like that, I realized that, I was not made for that.

I do feel like I am a decent teacher and many of my students have made comments to my family (who then told me whether they were suppose to or not) that some of my former athletes have mentioned that they learned more from me in the one season I coached them than they ever did again.  That is important to me.

I think my personality just lends itself to teaching and as I said, I enjoy it.  But, I do need a captive audeince.  For example, coaching is teaching but the players on my various squads wanted to be there so it was quite different than teaching students who were totally hacked to be in my classroom.

So, with that, i ask you, as far as learning from online sources, have you considered it?  I got my Masters via the internet and I’ve taken lots of small learning spells with online sources but I am considering doing this myself.

I don’t want to teach physical education nor do I want to teach counseling.  My goal, to be a speaker and a teacher in the world of all things internet.  To teach  students how t use wordpres, to build a network and how to keep moving.

So, what do you think?  What would you be wlling to take and what would you be willing to pay for such classes.  I would d some precorded vlogging ad some live ustream teaching.  So, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
