Some interesting links
Sometimes I like to curl up on the couch with my fuzzy slippers, a warm cup of coffee, and the laptop and just see what is going on out there i the world of homeschool. I always find such interesting places, so I thought I might share a few here.
Write Your Own Curriculum: A Complete Guide to Planning, Organizing and Documenting Homeschool Curriculums/Student Curriculum Planner-Middle Grades This one has a lot of great information, in fact the entire site is interesting and informative. Just the kind of thing to get my gears turning in the morning.
There’s this simple site, The Pros and Cons of Homeschooling. Because I’ve got to admit, somedays there are some definite cons to this whole homeschooling gig. Not that I’m ready to ship the boys off yet, but a few hours peace would be good for me now and then.
Ahhh, a post to get my hopes up on a cold morning. Overcoming Brown Thumb. nothing like talks of gardens and worms to get me ready for spring. I’ve got my own little tomato plants growing in the window sill, a strawberry plant enjoying a nice pot, and a few seeds o the way. I’m actually giddy with anticipation of talking the boys outside and showing them how to cultivate little seeds into food.
Here is a post near to my heart, Homeschooling the Non-Ambitious. Doesn’t every kid get into a rut where they really just do not want to put any energy out. I know I get into those ruts myself. You’ll find lots of insight here, definitely a good read.
And lastly, because my heart has a soft spot for the unschoolers, here’s a small collection of articles (don’t worry, they’re short) on the legacy of John Holt and Unschooling. If you’re curious they are worth the time to read, there’s even some anti-unschooling opinion in there.

Thanks for the links about unschooling and unschoolers. I think unschooling is a good idea, because I never like school and educated myself.
