We’re sick, again. I’m not sure what it is about February but I hope it ends soon. I’m tired of getting one bug gone just to pick up another one. So to tide you all over while I’m crashed on the couch I put together a short list of some blog posts that have made me feel better lately.
- Lesson plan to eliminate homework - Print this out and share with your favorite school teacher soon. Or just keep it handy if your kids are ever asked about homework.
- My written testimony before the NE legislature Dana shared her words on her blog in response to Legislative Bill 1141 in Nebraska. Go cheer her on!
- Don’t know much about history, and even less about literature - I don’t know about you, but this makes me want to cry.
- Musing: When Our Choice Becomes Their Problem - I think this post really did make me cry. Eleanor Roosevelt said “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent”, and for me that feeling should make you want to do better, not hide your head in the sand.
- Be Content Where You Are - A great “the grass isn’t always greener…” post that lightened up my day.
- “Who do these parents think they are?” - Don’t you hate it when those uppity parents think they have the right to raise their own kids?
I’m hoping that March will be easier for us on the illness level, especially as a certain little boy of mine has a birthday in March. And no, we don’t have any plans yet. I’m hoping for warm weather so we can go to the zoo and have a picnic. The state zoo is having a Safari Day on his birthday so I’m hoping to go to that. If we can get the daddy man off work that day.

Hey, thanks for the cheer! The bill is most likely dead for this session (which we already knew), but will more than likely come up again next legislation session.
