Ideas for Earth Day

April 22 is Earth Day, and there are so many great things to do to celebrate. You can visit the Earthday Network for ideas and information, and swing into the Teacher’s area for educational information. If the weather is nice why not go to the zoo? Join Animal Planet’s ROAR for Earth Day and celebrate with other animal lovers.
Assuming that the weather is nice all day the plan here is to go to the creek and splash around in the water, chase some frogs, and maybe collect some flowers. Doesn’t seem too “environmental” you might say. Maybe not, but that’s OK. We humans are more apt to save the things we love. I want to instill a deep love of nature and the earth in my sons before I start scaring them with pollution and endangered species. I want them to not just care becuse it is trendy but because they truely do care about the earth that they live on. So this year we are just focusing on loving everything all around us, when they are older we can start worrying about protecting it too.

I’ll be having a Earth Day carnival (blog) going on today. If you want to write something up or had this I will. Let me know.
