Homework Banned
As you all know I’ve been mesmerized by all of the comments in every way possible. I’ve bought books, I’m making plans to go to the library as soon as we get home to get more books and I’m simply turning into a book reading nerd. I’ve never been a big book reader. I like to read short stuff, I’ve mentioned that many times on my personal blog, but that is the honest truth. A magazine article is about the longest thing my ADD brain can keep up with.
But, the fact is, I just finished White Trash Mom and tomorrow I start The Case Against Homework by Sara Bennett and Nancy Kalish.
Anyway, on the blog, Stop Homework, there is a introduction to how a Canadian Elementary School as Banned Homework. So, go read it and then continue to read by following the link in the post.

Now that is interesting. I’m very interesting in how that ends up playing out.

I can’t wait to see how it all works out either but apparently it is more common that I knew. I really think it is wonderful. The more I read the book recommended in the other post, The Case Against Homework, the more I realize that I’m not alone in this thing. I plan to post on it and as a matter of fact, I figure it will take more than a few to make my points, which are all congruent with the book. I just have some examples and thoughts from a physical education/coaches point of view to add to it.
