Cooking Up Success

by

Home Education WeekToday For Home Education Week we’re sharing a little recipe for success. Here’s my recipe for success in my house. The great thing is that you can add this or take out that and change it up to make it work for you.

  • One cup creativity
  • One cup curiosity
  • A heaping spoonful of DIY
  • A dash of luck
  • And a pinch of patience.

Don’t worry, patience is like yeast. Just add a little watch it rise. Mix it all together, wrap it up in a shell of love, and enjoy. I like to serve mine with ice cream.

OK, so how about some real recipes to enjoy? Back in February I shared some yummy science experiments that you can share with your kids. Grab some soda, apples, or ice cream and see what you can teach your kids.

I didn’t really follow the rules for todays–I like to think of things as guidelines. :)

I love your reference to patience being like yeast. Absolutely!

  2. Dana Says:

Sounds yummy….especially with the ice cream! Ice cream makes up for a lot of a days flaws, especially if eaten outside on a warm evening.

  3. Kristen Says:

Terrific recipe, can’t wait to check out your yummy science.

  4. Activities Coordinator Says:

No ice cream here, lactose intolerant, ya know. Would it go well with a Tofutti Cutie?

  5. Heidi Says:

    Loved the science experiments.
I did not know about the mentos and soda thing - - WOW!! I did “favorite” both sites (yours and the mentos one).
    Thanks for sharing!! : )
